My experience of speaking spanish!!!

 

Today I was working and I ran into an experience where the customers I was checking out did not know English, but they did know Spanish.

So I quickly said “Lo siento” and started speaking in very Broken Spanish and it made me realize I need to speak Spanish more often because I can read and write and understand Spanish but I cannot speak back.

Anyways I continued to help them check out in what not then I thanked them for speaking in Spanish because I’m trying to learn Spanish it was something like 

“Gracias por hablando en español porque yo quiero aprender español así gracias 😊”

I really appreciated the experience and realization that the experience gave me and it has made me more greatful to be learning Spanish and also to feel even more empathetic for those who did not learn English as a first language because I know a lot of people would’ve not been able to understand what they were needing and that would’ve been frustrating for both parties
